You've probably heard us mention them before or after certain programs like Focus on the Family, or during music sweeps at various times of the day, they're underwriting businesses. These businesses commit to a specific amount of support, which underwrites part of the costs of that program or music segment. In return for this commitment, Christ Centered Radio, KOBC mentions their name, phone number, address and a brief statement about the business. Since KOBC is licensed by the Federal Communication Commission as a non-profit educational radio station, we are strictly regulated as to what we can say about our underwriters in these announcements. We cannot sell traditional commercials like most radio stations.
The Christian radio audience is the most loyal in the country. Who else can say their listeners support the businesses that support their favorite radio stations?
